All projects involve PLC based monitoring of critical turbine, gearbox, and generator parameters such as vibrations, bearing temperatures, generator stator temperatures, and steam pressures, flows, and temperatures. This data is consolidated in the PLC where alarms and shutdowns are generated and displayed on an HMI or SCADA terminal. In all projects, control of auxiliary systems is provided. On several projects, turbine governor control is provided in the PLC including Speed Control, kW Control, Inlet Pressure Control, Extraction Control, and/or Exhaust Pressure Control.
